It’s a busy week for me and Mack. I’ve seen some early character work (that Mack won’t let me post for your entertainment) and things are shaping up nicely.
But I couldn’t let the day pass without putting the comic aside for a moment, and congratulating the USA on electing a President who can speak in full sentences. (Hey – this wouldn’t be a proper blog without the occasional random opinion)
Whatever your political persuasion, you can’t helped be moved by the tremendous sense of watching history unfold.
I’d love to know who President-elect Obama’s speech-writers are. I haven’t heard oratory as stirring as that victory speech since “West Wing” came off the air. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if you told me the “West Wing” writing team had been re-assembled just for the Obama campaign.
I know that political speech-writers never take a curtain call, but the Sam Seaborns and Toby Zieglers of the Obama Campaign deserve an award for some of the best writing I have ever heard.
