“Techno-Mythos“
That’s what Mack is calling this story. Is that like Cthulu Mythos, but with batteries and not quite as mind-bendingly scary?
What started out as a (fairly) simple story of theft and revenge, set in a cyberpunk future, is turning into something quite different. There’s still plenty of thefty cyberpunk revenge to be had, but our love of mythology has got the better of us, again. All it takes is one of us to slightly mis-read a sentence the other has written and the whole story zigs when we expect it to zag. Next thing you know, you’ve got a story about pachinko halls, unkillable armies and old gods.

Perhaps its some kind of new-fangled dance-music that the kids are into.
